11/3/2024:  Greetings! Allow me to introduce myself. My CBR name is Deuce, but my friends call me Dax. I am an almost three-year-old brindle boxer, and if I may say so myself, quite a handsome one at that!

Since July, I have been residing with my wonderful foster parents and my two fur sisters. The initial months were quite the journey for all of us. You see, CBR rescued me from a difficult situation, and when I first arrived at my foster home, I was still learning how to truly be a dog. I underwent heartworm treatment and had to be neutered, but I emerged from these challenges with flying colors and an abundance of puppy energy!

I am proud to say that I do exceptionally well in my crate without any accidents, and I am now house-trained. I’m a quick learner and quite intelligent, if I do say so myself. Chewing on bones and playing in the yard are some of my favorite pastimes. I am open to snuggling, but only after I’ve expended some of my boundless energy. I’ve mastered the art of sitting for a treat, and I do it with impressive speed. I’m still working on my leash manners, as I have a penchant for speed, which makes me wonder if I might make an excellent jogging partner!

When I first arrived at my foster home, I was quite skinny, so I tend to be protective of my food. I am a bit shy around new people, particularly men. I am eagerly seeking a patient “fur-ever” home where I can continue to learn and build trust with both human and fur friends. Ideally, I would thrive in a calm household without children. Oh, and did I mention that I love car rides?

If you’re in search of a very handsome snuggler and protector, look no further—I am your perfect companion!

9/11/2024:  It is with pleasure that I am able to provide an update on Deuce. He received his first heartworm injection this past Monday and handled it exceptionally well. Keeping him calm has been a challenge, and I am sure he will be very happy once his treatment has concluded.  Deuce’s appetite remains robust, and it appears he is now house-trained, which is a significant relief. Additionally, he looks much healthier, which is heartening to see. We will continue to shower him with love and care as he navigates through his heartworm treatment.

8/18/2024:  Hello, everyone! My name is Deuce, and I have a particular fondness for soft meaty treats—they truly are the best in my opinion. However, I’m not picky and am open to enjoying any treats, including chew bones. Since I’ve been in my foster home, I’ve also started to learn about and appreciate balls and toys. It’s been quite an exciting journey discovering new things to enjoy.
