Good with small dogs?: Mimi is okay with our new small dog, a Pekingese. She thinks the dog is a toy. She wants to chase her, and scares the little dog, but they are getting used to each other…

Good with big dogs?: Mimi is good with big dogs, but she tends to want to fight to see who top dog is. She and our boxer will fight, then sleep together at night. Still, if she is the biggest dog, this could be an issue…

Good with cats?: Has not been cat tested.

Good with kids?: She has been around school age children and has done fine.

Any medical issues?: She is blind in her left eye, and it is sort of deformed. Her right back leg is much weaker than her left leg, and the vet will do x-rays when she is spayed to see whether there is anything they can do to help her. However, none of that hinders her.

Crate trained?: Yes.

House trained?: Yes.

Heartworms?: No.

1/12/2025:  Mimi truly embodies the essence of sweetness in a foster dog. With her gentle demeanor, she doesn’t demand constant attention, but she thoroughly enjoys every moment of affection she receives. A gentle giant at heart, Mimi may not have mastered basic commands like “sit,” yet she displays remarkable patience when it’s time for treats, waiting her turn with grace.

Her appetite is hearty, as she eagerly devours her breakfast and dinner, each consisting of a cup and a half of food, twice daily. Once her meals are complete, she’s content and satisfied.

Mimi has a profound love for the outdoors. Our acre-sized, fenced yard, complete with a doggie door, allows her the freedom to explore at her leisure. She thrives in a spacious environment and would be best suited to a home with a large yard where she can roam freely. Mimi would not be content as a leashed-only dog; she cherishes her independence and the ability to wander and explore. 🐾💕
