4/27/2025:  Hi, I’m Mimi—and if you’ve got hands, I’ve got a belly that needs rubs!

I’m a one-year-old, 80-pound lovebug with a heart full of sunshine and a serious appreciation for the art of lounging. My vibe? Chill, sweet, and independent—but don’t let that fool you. The moment you walk by, I roll right over and show you the goods (belly, that is). It’s my signature move, and I’m not ashamed to use it to score rubs.

Mornings are my jam—I get my breakfast at 7am and then sprint around the yard like I’m training for the Dog Olympics. I love being outside, especially when I get to roam the (fenced) yard and sniff and feel the wind in my floppy ears. Afternoons are for sunbathing, and evenings? Couch time! I’ll happily snuggle up next to you like the world’s biggest (and comfiest) weighted blanket.

I’m not into toys (meh), but I’m very into snacks. All of them. I take treats gently and respectfully… but I might also be right next to you the second you even think about food.

I get along with small dogs and I’m super gentle with kiddos. I like being the boss dog in the house—it’s kind of my thing. I would probably do well with a laid back brother. Cats? No thanks. People? LOVE them. Delivery drivers get a bark or two (I’ve got a house to protect!), but mostly I’m all wiggles and charm.

I’m housebroken, hate crates (yuck), and I’ll pick the couch or a sunny spot in the yard every time. I walk well on leash… unless there’s another dog. Then I forget I’m not the size of a squirrel and might pull a little (okay, a lot).

If you’re looking for a funny, lovable goofball who lives for belly rubs, sunshine, and snuggles—I’m Mimi, and I’m ready to meet you!

1/12/2025:  Mimi truly embodies the essence of sweetness in a foster dog. With her gentle demeanor, she doesn’t demand constant attention, but she thoroughly enjoys every moment of affection she receives. A gentle giant at heart, Mimi may not have mastered basic commands like “sit,” yet she displays remarkable patience when it’s time for treats, waiting her turn with grace.

Her appetite is hearty, as she eagerly devours her breakfast and dinner, each consisting of a cup and a half of food, twice daily. Once her meals are complete, she’s content and satisfied.

Mimi has a profound love for the outdoors. Our acre-sized, fenced yard, complete with a doggie door, allows her the freedom to explore at her leisure. She thrives in a spacious environment and would be best suited to a home with a large yard where she can roam freely. Mimi would not be content as a leashed-only dog; she cherishes her independence and the ability to wander and explore. 🐾💕
