5/18/2025: Even though I’m deaf, that doesn’t stop me from living my best life! I love a good couch or chair, and I can spend lots of time enjoying long naps indoors or outdoors in the sun. My personality is very chill, but I do love pets and cuddles from my people. I also keep a close watch on my people and like to stay near them, even at their feet as I relax. I use my other senses, especially my sense of smell, to realize when someone has left or entered the room.

I’m low key and will do well in a home with a small yard. Running isn’t really my thing, but I’ll break into a little trot if something interests me. I walk well on a leash with minimal pulling.

I’m very indifferent to our boxer, so I should be good with other dogs. At first sight of our cat, I was very interested in her, but a slap in the face re-routed me to other things of more interest.

I do perk up if you take a toy and play tug of war with me. I’ll gladly remove the squeaker from the toy too! I love treats and food.

1/25/2025: Hello, I’m Pepper, the friendliest pup you’ll ever meet! Though I can’t hear the world around me, I absolutely adore being close to my humans. I’ve got a little ear infection in both ears, which might be why I’m not catching any of those sounds. But let me tell you, it doesn’t stop me from being the sweetest, most affectionate furry friend you’ll find!

I get along wonderfully with other dogs and children, and I love meeting new people—it’s like a wagging tail party every time! As for cats, well, I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting any yet, so the jury’s still out on that one.

Oh, and just a little update—I had my spay surgery on January 23rd, so I’m all set and ready for new adventures with my favorite humans. Can’t wait to shower you with love and snuggles! 🐾❤️
