Foster Spotlight: Jaxon

Jaxon, aka Jax-e here! I’m about 4 years old and have been with my foster family for several months now & boy- oh- boy, do I love them! I also love my fur sister! This place is great, I get to play with my rope toys, lay on all the blankets and the couch, and do endless cuddles and zoomies in the backyard! I don’t like to go out back by myself. I will sit at the door until FM agrees to come out with me. Then I will gladly take care of business!

My fur sister is old and doesn’t like to play and that makes me mad so sometimes I tell her that with a growl. I prefer someone a bit younger so we can run and play in the backyard together.

I hear my foster family call me sweet and loving, so I kindly give them kisses for the nice compliments. The leash thing is cool, but they could stand to take my lead more, so I try to pull them sometimes. Every so often my mom brings in something called an “Amazon package”, so to welcome it, I pee on it. Mom doesn’t appreciate it much, but why does it smell weird then?

Mom says I have to tell you about my bad day I had. Once I met someone who wanted to adopt me and I bit him. He was so excited to meet me & I may have mistaken his energy and got very nervous. I felt really bad & then I played with him and gave him kisses, but we parted as friends and not family- understandably. I think what’s best for me is a very calm meeting, slow and steady, so I can be sure you mean well to me and my precious foster mom and dad. I am a good boy and with patience and work with a trainer, I will learn to be more trusting. I just need a chance to redeem myself!
