Foster Spotlight Bistro

Hi! I’m Bistro. I’m 4.5-years old and quite popular around the neighborhood. My FM walks me a couple of times a day, and my favorite thing to do is hang out at the street corner and watch the cars go by. They’ll wave at me and tell my FM what a good girl I am by sitting and waiting on treats. I’m not bothered by other people or dogs or bicycles or scooters, and while I’m sometimes curious about the wildlife, I mostly ignore them. My walks are the best thing ever–I just love them!

Around the house, I follow all the rules. I don’t counter surf. I’m fully house-trained. I don’t get on the furniture even though I really want to. And my crate is my safe place. It’s where I sleep at night and where I go during the day when I need some quiet time. I love a good, cushy bed and using a blanket as a pillow. I make my bed every time I go to sleep! I can also brag and say I’m a quiet sleeper and rarely pass gas. Such a good girl, right?!

I know lots of commands, like sit, stay, stop, come, leave it, inside, and outside. My favorite word is “yes” because it means I listened and get a treat. I haven’t met a treat I don’t like. Well, except carrots. The deer can have those. I’ve got a rock solid stomach and do great with my food. FM likes to keep me entertained, so she feeds me using puzzle feeders and lick mats and, on really nice days, I get to dine al fresco with my Kong.

People tell me it’s weird, but you should know that I don’t like toys. I won’t even chew on a bully stick. So I spend my day at this place called “work.” FM makes her coffee and tells me it’s time to go to work, so I follow her into her office where I alternate between napping to soft jazz and monitoring what’s going on outside. And when we’re not in meetings, FM will take me for a short walk. I do love sniffing around my backyard, and I maybe had the case of the zoomies a time or two, but running is hit-or-miss for me. I honestly prefer a walk whenever possible.

My FM has been documenting my journey on Instagram if you’d like to follow along and see how far I’ve come. She’s also created a Google Drive full of information about me. She wants my furever family to have everything they need to ensure
