1/16/2025: An Exclusive Interview with Maverick Smooshington, the Handsome Hunk Looking for Love

Interviewer: Maverick, thanks for sitting down with us today! First off, you’re just 11 months old and already 70 pounds. What’s your secret to being this adorable?

Maverick: Oh, it’s all about the ears and the smooshy face, my friend. Plus, I’m always carrying around a stuffed toy for good measure—it’s my signature look. I don’t really know what to do with them yet, but they make me feel fancy.

Interviewer: Love that! Speaking of toys, we hear you’re a ball enthusiast. Care to share your favorites?

Maverick: Balls are life. Big ones, small ones, squeaky ones—I don’t discriminate. Throw it, and I’ll chase it like it’s my life’s mission. Chew toys are a close second. I like to keep my chompers busy!

Interviewer: Sounds like you’d make a great workout buddy. What’s your exercise routine?

Maverick: I love long walks, but, uh, let’s just say I have a powerful enthusiasm for exploring. My foster family says I need some training to stop pulling on the leash. Hey, I’m just trying to see the world faster!

Interviewer: You’re working on crate training too, right?

Maverick: Sigh Yes, the crate and I are having a… complicated relationship. I’m not a fan, but my foster family is helping me get more comfortable with it. I’m a smart guy—I’ll get the hang of it eventually!

Interviewer: What’s your dream home like?

Maverick: I’d love an active family who enjoys playtime and adventures. A home with other dogs would be pawsome—I’m a big fan of canine buddies! And I don’t bark much, so I won’t disturb your peace. I just want to be around my humans as much as possible.

Interviewer: We hear you’ve got a little anxiety when your foster family leaves. What’s that about?

Maverick: Well, I’m still new here, so I get a bit worried when they’re gone. I just love my people so much! But as I settle in and feel more secure, I’m sure I’ll relax.

Interviewer: Any final words for potential adopters?

Maverick: I’m a sweet, goofy guy who loves everyone I meet. I might need a little training here and there, but I promise to repay you with loyalty, cuddles, and plenty of laughs. So, what do you say—are you ready to be my forever family?

🐾 Maverick is waiting to meet you! 🐾

1/13/2025:   🎉🐾 Hey there, world! The name’s Maverick, and I’m crashing this internet thing to say, “Howdy!” I haven’t even unpacked my squeaky toys yet—been here less than 24 hours—but I couldn’t wait to introduce myself!

First things first: I’m a BIG boy (like, linebacker big), but shhh, don’t tell me that—I think I’m a lapdog. I’m still a baby boxer, not even a year old, so I’ve got more energy than a squirrel on espresso. My hobbies include giving slobbery kisses, zoomies, and attempting to fit all 60-something pounds of me onto your lap. It’s a talent, really.

Walks? Love ’em! I might pull a little at first because, hello, everything’s so exciting! But if you remind me to chill, I’m back to being a perfect gentleman. Oh, and toys! Balls! ALL THE TOYS! They’re my jam.

Now, about my first night here… My former family said I was crate-trained, but let’s be real, I’m kind of a genius. I pulled a Houdini and busted out. I mean, can you blame me? New place, new smells, total freak-out vibes! But don’t worry—I didn’t throw a party or anything. I just snoozed on the couch like the good boy I am.

Big news: I’m getting neutered on Wednesday. Not sure what that means, but everyone keeps giving me this “sorry, buddy” look. 🤷‍♂️ After that, I’ll be accepting applications for my forever family! If you’re active, fun-loving, and don’t mind a goofy boxer puppy with boundless energy, I might just be your guy.

Okay, I’ve got zoomies to run. Bye for now! 🐾❤💕
