Dog’s Name: Elvis

Dog’s Approximate Age: 8 years old

Gender: Male

Dog’s Size: Medium (50lbs to 70lbs. as adult and healthy weight)

Dog’s Weight: 69 pounds

Tail?: Docked (short)

Good with small dogs?: He hasn’t really been tested with small dogs in my home… a small dog came up to him off leash at the vet and he didn’t seem to mind, but that is the only experience I’ve had with him around smaller dogs.

Good with big dogs?: He is good with my female boxer with proper introduction. He is not really interested in playing with her but will lay near her and partake in “parallel play”. Elvis does not seem to be friendly to other dogs while on a leash and could use leash training.

Good with cats?: Has not been cat tested.

Good with kids?: Has not been tested with kids in the foster home, but according to OS was child selective for very young children (5<).

Any medical issues?: Getting some dental work done in the next few weeks, but other than that, no.

Crate trained?: Don’t know yet.

House trained?: Yes.

Heartworms?: Don’t know yet.

2/25/2025:  Oh, hello there! It’s me, your ever-loyal, tail-wagging shadow, the quintessential velcro boxer! I simply adore being glued to your side, but don’t worry, if you need a little breathing room, I’m quite the understanding pup. Just stay within my line of sight, and all will be well in my doggy world.

Walks are my absolute favorite! I get so excited that I need a harness to keep my enthusiasm in check and ensure everyone’s safety—I’m quite the powerhouse, you see. When it comes to food, I’m not one to gobble everything up. I prefer to graze, but rest assured, you’ll know when it’s time for breakfast and dinner!

Napping is an art form I’ve mastered, but when the playtime mood strikes, I’m perfectly content to entertain myself. Tennis balls? Oh, they’re my kryptonite! I can’t resist them. I do get a bit sad and anxious when we’re apart, but I promise, I’m not one to cause a ruckus or destruction.

When bedtime rolls around, I’m always ready to snuggle under the covers with you, but if you prefer, my own cozy doggy bed will do just fine. Ideally, I’d love a home where my best friend works from home, but that’s not a dealbreaker. A fenced yard would be a dream come true, where I can chase tennis balls to my heart’s content.

My foster mom says I’m the perfect blend of an energetic boxer and a lazy, sunbathing house-cat. I can’t wait to find a forever home where I can share all my love and joy! 🐾❤💕
