10/16/2024: Hello there, wonderful humans! My name is Graham, and I’m a gentle soul in search of my forever home. I recently settled into a new foster home after Hurricane Helene decided to shake things up—nothing I did, just a twist of fate! Life’s thrown me a few curveballs, but I’m ready to find my new family.
About Me: At 7 years young, I bring a calm and loving vibe to any home. I’m house-trained, so no worries about messes here! I thrive in a peaceful setting and would be the perfect companion for anyone who appreciates a quiet, loving presence.
My Personality: I’m all about making friends! I get along splendidly with other dogs and greet them with the utmost politeness. When I get excited, my tail does this delightful wagging circle—it’s hard to miss! I also adore stuffed animals and squeaky toys, though I’m taking a little break from playtime until after my dental procedure. Once I’m all healed up, I’ll be ready to show off my playful side!
Crate & House Behavior: I don’t need to be crated when left alone; I’m well-mannered and trustworthy when roaming the house. I’m a good boy in the crate, but I might hide if you try to force me in because I know I can behave well outside of it.
Health Update: I’ll be having a dental procedure and a mass removal in November, but CBR and my amazing foster family are taking great care of me. Once I’m all healed, I’ll be ready for new adventures with you!
What I’m Looking For: I’m on the hunt for a kind and patient family who’ll give me the love and attention I crave. A home where I can relax and enjoy cuddles would be perfect. If you have a doggy friend, I’d love to meet them!
If you think you could be the right fit for me, let’s meet! I promise to fill your life with gentle love and companionship. Together, we can create a beautiful bond.
Love, Graham
9/6/2024: Graham is a laid-back and well-behaved dog. Gramps is kennel trained. We are still working on house training, but he adapts well to indoor diapers. He gets along well with larger dogs and has been living harmoniously with two high-energy boxers. Gramps does not engage in play with toys or other dogs. This is likely due to his previous experience as an outdoor-only dog who was not house trained. He is not food aggressive and does not show strong motivation for food or toys. However, he responds positively to treats when being kenneled. His last recorded weight was 63 pounds, which is an ideal weight for him. He consumes approximately two large cups of dry food mixed with a small amount of wet food, twice daily. He is current on all vaccinations and free of intestinal worms. He is also on a preventative treatment regimen for heartworms, fleas, and ticks. Gramps has a benign mass on his left shoulder, as confirmed by aspiration. Additionally, he has histiocytoma on his right rear leg that requires surgical removal, which needs to be scheduled. Gramps has not yet been exposed to small dogs or cats, so his behavior around them is currently unknown.
