Good with small dogs?: When encountering smaller dogs, Bella may initially be a bit forward and occasionally bark, possibly due to being puzzled by their size. However, she quickly warms up to them. Bella might thrive best in a home with a dog of similar size.

Good with big dogs?: Bella has interacted with several dogs and has shown positive behavior with all of them. She appears to enjoy the companionship of her foster Boxer brother.

Good with cats?: Yes.

Good with kids?: Yes, she loves our 3-year-old son and is constantly giving him kisses, whether he likes it or not.

Any medical issues?: You wouldn’t know she’s 9 years old to look at her. She’s got a good amount of energy and is a sweet and happy girl. She does have the classic boxer gum disease (I think vet said gingivitis) where the gums can grow over the teeth if not treated.

Crate trained?: Working on it.

House trained?: Yes.

Heartworms?: No

10/11/2024:  Bella delights in playtime, much to the dismay of her foster brother. Her youthful appearance and spirited nature belie her nine years. An enthusiastic giver of kisses, her little nub is always wiggling with joy. Initially, we kept her in a crate for a few days to help her decompress. While she tolerated it, she wasn’t particularly fond of it and would often whine. Now, we trust her to roam freely in our living room when we’re away.

She previously lived with cats, and it seems she’s reacquainting herself with them. Bella has been known to stalk and bark at our cats, intrigued by their small size, yet she hasn’t acted aggressively. The cats, unafraid, venture out even in her presence, though they aren’t particularly fond of her.

Bella adores sleeping in the human bed, happily snuggling right next to you, and loves to burrow under the pillows on our sofa. She generally responds well to commands, though her focus wanes when preoccupied with the household cats. She has shown no aggression and eats peacefully alongside our dog. Bella has also been wonderful with our three-year-old son, showing potential as a delightful nanny dog for a family.

Bella is a sweet and joyful girl who would make a wonderful addition to any family.
