11/10/2024: My journey towards finding my forever family is nearing its exciting conclusion! With my final heartworm treatment scheduled for December 2nd, I am eagerly preparing to meet my future companions. I dream of a family I can shower with love and snuggles.
One of my absolute favorite pastimes is lounging on the couch with my foster mom. I adore being close to her, soaking up all the kisses and hugs she has to offer. She often tells me that I’m one of the most relaxed boxers she’s ever fostered. While I have a laid-back demeanor, I do enjoy a good play session with my stuffed toys and a game of fetch.
I share my home with my fur brother, Roger, who is quite the senior gentleman. Sometimes he joins me for a bit of play, but I know when to give him space. I pride myself on respecting all the house rules. I don’t require a crate when left alone, but I’m more than happy to settle in one if you ask. Whether it’s the couch or snuggling with a family member, any cozy spot is perfect for me. And if you prefer, I can comfortably sleep in my crate without any fuss.
Fully house-trained, I impress my foster mom with my ability to wait patiently for potty breaks. If you’re busy working outside the home, you can count on me to be a good boy all day long. I’m eagerly awaiting the chance to bring joy and companionship to my new family!
10/15/2024: Foster Deja has really come out of her shell. At first, she was scared of most anything, but it didn’t take her long to start to feel comfortable. She absolutely loves her humans and fur brother. She is very low energy boxer. She likes to play with her stuffed toys but most of all likes to snuggle on the couch. At first Deja slept in her crate and went in when we were out. She loves her crate and goes in willingly. The past few days we have let her sleep on the couch and left her out when we are not home, and she does great in the house unattended. Deja is one of the sweetest girls that just wants to be loved!
9/8/2024: Deja’s journey began as a stray in a rural shelter. The environment there, filled with loud noises and rapid movements, made her somewhat reactive towards the staff. Unfortunately, because of this, the shelter had planned to euthanize her. However, FD decided to intervene, driving to the shelter to give Deja a second chance. Despite her initial fear and the unsettling noise of barking dogs, Deja never displayed any aggression. FD brought her home, and it was then that I met the sweetest little boxer girl. She immediately sought affection, eagerly accepting pets and treats, and even offering the most tender kisses. Deja is a devoted companion who loves to be with her person and will follow you around. She delights in playing with squeaky balls outdoors and has a particular fondness for treats and food, which she accepts with remarkable gentleness. Although she tolerates bath time, it is not her favorite activity. Nonetheless, she manages well, even if she isn’t particularly enthusiastic about it. Deja has only been in the home for a few days, and we are still learning about her. However, it is already clear that whoever adopts this girl is getting a true gem. She is genuinely sweet and lovable.
