12/11/2024: Woof! Greetings, fellow adventurers! I’m Maggie, and I’m here to regale you with tales of my latest escapades. Recently, I embarked on a grand journey to a magical land called “the beach,” and let me tell you, it was a pawsitively delightful experience! I trotted along the soft sand and reveled in the joy of wading into the ocean. The waves crashing over me were nothing short of exhilarating. During my seaside adventure, I made some delightful new friends—a pair of large dogs and a charming little toddler girl in the waves. They were simply pawsome!
Now, I must confess, FM (that’s Foster Mom, for those not in the know) advised me against chasing the seagulls, but I couldn’t quite wrap my head around that one. After all, nobody’s perfect, right?
Back at home, my heart truly sings during breakfast and supper. FM says I’m a dainty eater, but I like to think of myself as a connoisseur of kibble. I also adore my daily walks. At first, I was a bit of a leash-puller, but I’ve since mastered the art of walking with grace and elegance. The prospect of going outside still fills me with boundless excitement, especially since FM’s neighborhood is brimming with squirrels. Though she insists that chasing them is a no-go, I can’t help but dream of the chase!
Now, let’s address the elephant in the room: I am a deaf girl, but that doesn’t slow me down one bit. I embrace life with all paws, understand commands through a few nifty hand signals, and am as beautiful and loving as they come. I adore my crate, am completely housetrained, sleep soundly through the night, and will follow you anywhere with unwavering loyalty.
I truly thrive with a dog buddy in my foster home, so my dream forever home would have a furry friend around my size to play with. With that said, I am eagerly awaiting the moment I meet my adopter. I can’t wait to embark on new adventures together!
With tail wags and excitement, Maggie 🐾♥
9/16/2024: Maggie has been with me for a week now, and she is settling in remarkably well after her time with a temporary foster family. She has had no accidents and is very comfortable in her crate, where she seems content and sleeps soundly through the night. Maggie is a friendly and lovely dog, with a unique appearance that could easily win her a beauty contest. She adores cuddling and is a wonderful companion. Her favorite spot is a couch with a view of the outside world. Although Maggie is deaf, she exhibits all the delightful characteristics of any three-year-old Boxer, and her condition does not hinder her at all. She is still learning to walk better on a leash, but she is making steady progress each day. Slow but sure! Maggie is eagerly searching for her forever home and is ready to shower her new family with sloppy kisses to prove it!
7/18/2024: Hi everyone, its Maggie! I wanted to tell everyone that I am doing great. I got to go on a little mini vacation to South Carolina and I am loving it. I meet two other boxers that and we get to play all day if we want. The boy boxer is younger and tries to get me to play. He was way too quick for me to catch but I still try. I would say for the most part my favorite thing to do is lay around on the couch. I just like to watch everything that is going on and get tons of cuddles. Oh, guess what! They have this door that I can go in and out whenever I want. It took me a couple of days, but I figured it out. Now there is no stopping me and I can go outside all the time. I haven’t been in my crate much since they are always home here. When they do go out, I hang out in the crate but a couple of times they let me just hang out with the other dogs. I make sure to keep a look out a window of them but after a while I give up and go to sleep with the other dogs. At night here I have been able to sleep next to my temp family and so loving it. They say I am great because I will stay in bed as long as they do. I am enjoying this sleeping in life!
