I have always loved animals, especially dogs.  My mom had boxers growing up so that’s how I got interested in having a boxer.  I got my first boxer before I was married.  He was my constant companion and when I met my husband, my husband fell in love with him too.  After Sampson passed away, we rescued Izzy who was a boxer and lab mix.  She was with us for 12 years.  I got involved with CBR because the house was so empty without an animal to love around and my husband was still grieving Izzy and not ready yet to have our own.  The only advice that I would offer is to be patient with the dogs.  And give them lots of love.  You will be rewarded with more love than you can ever imagine!
