10/18/2024:  Moose here… this lady who says she is the Area Coordinator came to meet me this morning. I LOVED her (as I love all the big people I meet). I showed her how I play with toys, come in for snuggles, and want to play with the other dogs. She was surprised that as much as I have playful puppy energy, I am learning to coexist with the cats here. She said my fur is super soft and my face is super smooshy. I am great with all the dogs here, and take correction well when the older dogs are done playing and want me to leave them alone. She said she can’t believe how such a sweet boy like me hasn’t been adopted yet. She said lots of people are looking for smaller boxers, and that’s me! I came into rescue in pretty rough shape- I had an owner but they didn’t take very good care of me and I was emaciated with lots of skin issues. The vet said it was neglect and there was no reason for my issues. I’m all better now and looking for someone who will love me and take the best care of me!

10/4/2024:  Moose has an undeniable passion for toys, often carrying them joyfully in his mouth. Occasionally, he attempts to dismantle them, but more often than not, he simply delights in running around with them.  Moose has a friendly disposition and has shown affection towards everyone he meets. He enjoys playing keep-away with both humans and dogs, and he communicates clearly when he prefers to enjoy his toy alone. When introduced to the resident cat, Moose displayed interest and would give chase if she ran, though he was content to simply sniff her when she remained still.  Moose is a sweet-natured boy who thrives on attention. While he is currently underweight, he is expected to become a charming pocket-sized boxer, weighing under 50 pounds.
