March Volunteer Spotlight – Jolaine Blankenship

Volunteer Spotlight:  Jolaine Blankenship

For 6 years, Jolaine has contributed to CBR through multiple roles within the rescue.  She is currently a transport coordinator for incoming rescues, a foster, a vetting coordinator, and an area coordinator.  She is also looking forward to helping coordinate an upcoming CBR event in Salisbury, NC.  She believes that the best part of volunteering with CBR is seeing the dogs get adopted and then their transformation.  Being a vetting coordinator, she feels that the hardest part of being a volunteer is seeing the dogs in the vetting knowing that they are helping them live their final days, a rewarding yet challenging experience.  Her favorite memory as a volunteer is her adoption of Winston and later Ruby Lee.  Her advice to anyone considering volunteering is “Do it! Your strengths can be applied in a volunteer opportunity”.  She continues to seek out additional opportunities within the rescue.
