Become a Fostering Hero: Help Us Save More Lives

At CBR, we’re on a mission to save as many boxers as possible, but right now, we’re facing a critical need: foster homes. Our rescue is completely full, and we simply cannot take in more dogs until we have more loving fosters to help care for them.

We know that fostering may feel like a big commitment, but it’s one that comes with immeasurable rewards. By opening your home to a dog in need, you are giving them the chance to thrive, heal, and find their forever family. Here’s why fostering is so important and how you can make a huge difference.

Why Fostering is Crucial

Fostering plays a pivotal role in our ability to save lives. Without foster homes, we have nowhere to place the dogs we rescue. This means that dogs stuck in shelters or in desperate situations often face uncertain futures. But you can change that.

When you become a foster, you are providing a safe, loving environment for a dog who desperately needs it. Whether it’s a puppy who’s too young for adoption, an older dog recovering from surgery, or a shy dog learning to trust people again, fostering gives them a second chance at life.

But the need is urgent. As of right now, our rescue is completely full. Our waiting list for dogs in need of help is growing, but we can’t take on any more until we have enough fosters to care for them. This is where YOU come in.

What Does Fostering Involve?

The best part about fostering with CBR is that we take care of all the medical needs for the dogs. We handle everything from vaccinations to heartworm treatments, spaying/neutering, and surgeries. All you need to provide is a loving home, patience, and food.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what fostering involves:

  • Medical Care Provided: CBR covers all medical expenses, including vet visits, medications, and surgeries. You never have to worry about the cost of healthcare for your foster dog.
  • Food and Love: The only things you provide are food, love, and care. The rest is on us.
  • Training Support: Whether your foster dog needs some basic training, socialization, or help adjusting to a new routine, we’re here to support you. We’ll guide you through any challenges and help make the experience rewarding for both you and the dog.
  • A Rewarding Experience: Watching a dog you’ve fostered grow, heal, and eventually find their forever home is one of the most fulfilling experiences you can have. It’s a gift to both you and the dog.

Why We Need You

We are so grateful for our community of supporters, but the reality is that we are at capacity. Every day, we receive calls about dogs in shelters who urgently need our help—but without more fosters, we can’t take them in. You are the missing piece.

When you become a foster, you are directly impacting the life of a dog. You are helping to make room for more dogs to be rescued, rehabilitated, and ultimately adopted. With your support, we can keep saving lives and giving dogs the bright futures they deserve.
