What Does a Hospice Foster Do?
Hospice fostering isn’t about fixing everything. It’s about making the time a boxer has left as comfortable, peaceful, and loved as possible.
A Safe Home
A quiet, comfortable place where they can relax and feel secure.
Comfort & Care
Help with medications, vet appointments, meals, and other daily needs.
Lots of Love
Give them companionship, affection, and the simple joy of being someone’s dog.
One Last Couch
Let them spend their final chapter surrounded by warmth, dignity, and love.
You Don't Have to Be a Medical Expert.
Our hospice fosters aren’t expected to do this alone. Carolina Boxer Rescue provides veterinary support and guidance throughout the journey.
What we need most is someone with a big heart, a comfortable home, and the willingness to be present.
A COUCH Foster should be able to:
✓ Provide a safe indoor home
✓ Give medications as directed
✓ Help get the boxer to veterinary appointments
✓ Provide patience, comfort, and companionship
✓ Communicate with the CBR team
✓ Open their heart to a boxer who may not have much time left
You won’t be alone. We’ll be here with you.
You May Not Be Able to Change Their Story.
