Foster Spotlight: Clyde

My name is Clyde and my FM (that’s short for foster mom) says I’m such a love bug.  I thought I was a boxer, but she’s a nice lady so I don’t want to correct her.  I love being with people, and will be your constant companion.  I LOVE going for walks and FM says I walk nicely on the leash- she says I get a boxer butt wiggle whenever the leash comes out! (I just can’t help myself!).  I do sometimes forget my manners when I see a small animal like a squirrel or bird on my walks, so mom says I probably shouldn’t live with cats.

FM says I’m super smart and have picked up commands easily.  I know how to sit, stay, high 5 (when I’m in the mood), and FM had to teach me the command “no chase!” when I see squirrels on my walks.  I’m calm around the house and easily go in my crate at night- mom doesn’t even have to shut the door at night!  When she leaves during the day, she gives me CBD treats because I have some anxiety with being alone in the crate.  She’s found that giving me a Kong with peanut butter helps to settle me.

I get along well with other dogs and kids, and FM says she’s going to start taking me to doggie daycare to get me ready for my forever family.  I can’t wait to meet them!
