Foster Spotlight: Whiskey

Whiskey loves to dig in the yard, have play sessions with his rescue buddy, and go for car rides. Bones, chew toys, snuggles, and giving kisses are Whiskey’s love language. As you can see from his videos, balls are life! Since coming into rescue, Whiskey has met lots of people as well as dogs. Whiskey adapts quickly and loves all humans. He’s great with kids! With his playful demeanor and sweet personality, he’d quickly become a kid’s best friend. Since coming into rescue, Whiskey has learned many commands. He arrived pre-programmed with “sit” but he has learned “come”, “stay” (working on it), and “down”. Whiskey has regained strength in his back legs through rehab, PT, and practicing in his foster homes and he does not need any mobility support or medications.

Whiskey clearly loves his foster buds and has made doggo friends in multiple foster homes. He does best with playful but respectful dogs who do not have dominant personalities, and, like all dogs adopted from CBR, we recommend slow introductions with resident dogs so that the dogs have a chance to learn how to read each other’s body language. Whiskey is very interested in the cats in his foster home, but he doesn’t seek them out; only a cat that likes to cuddle dogs would need to be kept separately.

If you’re looking for a fulfilling way to create space in your home and heart for a rescue dog, Whiskey will be all that and more. He can’t wait to meet his forever family!
