As we step into spring, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the whirlwind that was March—and what a month it was. Thanks to the unwavering dedication of our volunteers, donors, fosters, and supporters, we were able to make a significant impact in the lives of boxers in need.

In March, 29 boxers found their way into the safety of Carolina Boxer Rescue—22 owner surrenders and 7 shelter pulls. That number continues to climb month after month, and we are doing everything we can to ensure every boxer receives the love, care, and medical attention they deserve.

We also had 25 adoptions in March, each one a beautiful reminder of what our mission is all about. While we celebrate those happy tails, we also pause to remember the six precious souls we lost. We carry them in our hearts and remain committed to giving each dog in our care the very best life possible—no matter how long or short their journey may be.

As always, providing that level of care comes with a cost. In March alone, we spent over $25,000 on vetting. From routine exams to life-saving procedures, our vet bills continue to be our biggest expense—and our biggest priority.

Thankfully, we had a major win this month thanks to the incredible team behind Boxerpalooza. This year’s event in Myrtle Beach was the most successful to date, raising over $30,000! A massive round of applause and heartfelt thanks to Jennifer Elvis and her entire Myrtle Beach crew for their tireless effort, passion, and love for this rescue. Your hard work made a huge difference—and we are beyond grateful.

While $30,000 is an extraordinary amount, it’s important to remember that it will only cover about one month of vetting. That’s why your continued support is so critical.

Looking ahead to April, we are putting a big focus on fostering. Simply put, we cannot say “yes” to boxers in need if we don’t have a safe place for them to land. Fosters are the lifeline of our rescue, and we are urgently looking for more families to open their hearts and homes.
