Volunteer Spotlight – Kim Fox

Meet Kim Fox, a dedicated CBR volunteer since 2020. Kim has never met a boxer that she did not fall in love with and has had 9 boxers of her own. She currently has 3 boxers, one being Augustus, a foster fail from CBR.

Kim makes note of the statement, “if you love something, you get one in every color.” She owns a white, brindle, and fawn boxer. Kim is very involved with CBR through doing home visits, fostering, transports, and picking up essential supplies for the rescue. Transporting is one of her favorite parts about being involved in the rescue. She states how much joy it brings her to pull dogs from the shelter.

Her first transport touched her heart as the dog was very nervous at first and ended up warming up to her. The boxer was pregnant and to this day, she gets updates from the family that adopted her.

Doing home visits allows her to meet other boxer lovers and some have even turned into Facebook friends. Kim believes the hardest part of volunteering is handing off a boxer to the next part of their journey. However, she believes it is a rewarding feeling knowing that you can play a part in finding their forever home.

Kim wants people to know if you are a boxer lover and considering volunteering with CBR, that you should pursue it. She believes that even the smallest roles within the rescue make a huge impact and that CBR is very flexible and will find you an opportunity to help that works with your schedule.

Thank you for your dedication, Kim!
