If you’ve ever thought, “I wish I could help, but I’m not sure how,” you’re not alone.
Most people assume supporting a rescue starts and ends with hitting a “donate” button. And listen…we love that button. We NEED that button. That button is responsible for a lot of saved nubs.
But it’s not the only way to make an impact around here.
At Carolina Boxer Rescue, no two dogs come in the same way, and that means it takes more than one kind of support to get them where they’re going. Some boxers show up needing immediate, expensive medical care (because of course they do. They like to keep things interesting). Others need weeks or months of heartworm treatment. Some just need a soft place to land and someone willing to give them a chance.
And behind every single one of those stories is a whole network of people making it possible.
That’s where our different “ways to donate” programs come in.
Some folks give financially when they can. Some commit to monthly giving (our ride-or-die Nub Club members we see you!!). Some donate supplies, sponsor a foster, or shop in ways that give back. Others choose to honor a pet or loved one, turning something meaningful into something life-saving.
And then there are the people who do things like name a nub. Which, honestly, might be one of the most fun ways to leave your mark on a life that’s just getting its fresh start.
The point is, there isn’t one “right” way to support rescue.
There’s just your way.
And every single one of these programs exists because over the years, people have shown up in different ways and said, “Hey, I can help like this.”
So we made space for it.
Over the next few months, we’re going to start pulling back the curtain on each of these programs. What they do, why they matter, and how they directly impact the boxers you see (and the ones you don’t).
Because when you really understand where the support goes, it hits a little differently.
And who knows, you might find your thing.
