Good with small dogs? Not sure if he’s good with small dogs, as I’ve only seen him interact with my 54-pound dog.
Good with big dogs?: Absolutely! He’s wonderful with my 55-pound white boxer. At first, he was a bit standoffish when they met, but he quickly warmed up. Now they spend most of the day snuggling and playing together. She’s a passive female, though still full of puppy energy and can be a bit much at times, but he handles it like a champ!
Good with cats?: Has not been cat tested.
Good with kids?: Not sure—haven’t had the chance to see him around them.
Any medical issues?: Recovering from FHO surgery—about a month and a half in and doing great—and currently heartworm positive.
Crate trained?: Yes.
House trained?: Yes.
Heartworms?: Yes.

Hi future family! It’s me, Hudson, your classic Boxer boy with the big, soulful eyes that magically convince humans to give me whatever I want. I’ve been told I have “the look.” I don’t deny it.
Let’s get the important stuff out of the way: I am a BIG snuggler. Huge. Massive. Olympic‑level. I would literally sleep in your skin if you let me. I follow my foster mom everywhere she goes — I’m basically her shadow with a nub tail.
Speaking of tails… mine is lethal. I wag it so hard it could probably trim your grass. I’m a bull in a china shop, but the sweet, gentle Ferdinand kind who just wants love and sunshine.
And sunshine? Ohhhh yes. I’m your typical East Coast baby — I love to bake in the sun in the backyard. I even have my own tanning pad. It’s a lifestyle.
I’ve also taken on an important household role: Toilet‑paper protection officer. Not a single roll has attacked my foster mom since I arrived. You’re welcome.
Food time is my favorite time, and I get super happy about it. I might accidentally take your toe skin off racing you to the drop site — not on purpose, I’m just enthusiastic.
Baths? Not my favorite. But I stand there politely while you scrub me, and then I go absolutely wild for the towel dry. That part is amazing.

Hi! I’m Hudson, a Boxer mix with a big heart, a big personality, and a very big love for my people. I’m currently on medical hold while I go through heartworm treatment and get my FTO surgery, but I’m looking for a foster‑to‑adopt family who will love me through it all.
Let me tell you a little about myself…
When I come out of my crate, I get so excited that I zoom straight to the door like I’m late for a very important meeting. I love attention — seriously, just look at me and my tail starts wagging like it’s trying to take off. If you give me pets, I’ll sit pretty and soak up every second.
I’m a huge fan of humans, but I also have a hobby: squirrel hunting. Those little fluffy‑tailed creatures fascinate me, so I’ll need a good, secure fence to keep me safe while I’m on patrol.
We’re working on my leash manners — I’m a young pup who didn’t get much practice before rescue, but I’m learning! I’m full of life, full of joy, and full of gratitude. Foster Mom says knowing I was rescued with only hours to spare makes me extra special… and I think she’s right.
During the day, I hang out in my crate like a perfect gentleman. I’m not destructive, I have the most beautiful coloring, and I’m obsessed with bully sticks — they’re my number one favorite thing in the whole world.
