Hi future family! I’m Slugger, a handsome 3‑year‑old Boxer with a heart as big as my goofy personality. Nobody knows much about my past, but one thing is very clear — I LOVE people. Every human I’ve met so far has instantly become my new best friend, and I’m happiest when I’m right by your side.
If you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, congratulations… you’ve found the ultimate one. I love curling up on the couch, laying on top of you whenever possible, and honestly? I’d be thrilled to share your bed if you let me. I’m basically a weighted blanket with a nub tail.
I also have a hilarious little quirk: I sniff toes. Don’t ask me why — it just makes me laugh, and apparently it makes the humans laugh too.
My most prized possession in the entire world is my squeaky ball. Throw it, squeak it, let me parade around with it — it brings me endless joy. I’m just starting to discover that other toys exist, and it’s been fun learning what else I might love.
When it comes to treats, I’m a thoughtful guy. I like to inspect anything new before deciding if it’s worth eating. But once I approve it? Peanut butter and jerky treats are my absolute favorites.
I’m housebroken and crate trained. The crate isn’t my favorite place, but I go in when asked and settle down without trying to escape. I usually alternate between a few gentle cries and peaceful naps until it’s time to come back out. Foster Mom says I’m an easy houseguest.
I’m currently living with an older Boxer and have been a respectful roommate. If he doesn’t want to play, I politely give him space. I’m a sweet, easygoing boy who just wants love, companionship, and a cozy place to call home.
I haven’t had my vet appointment yet, but I’ll be heading in soon for my neuter and vaccine boosters — getting all polished up for my forever family.
