Woo hoo! Big news, humans — I’m officially ready for my forever home and I’m so excited about it. The vet said I’m good to go, and foster mom keeps telling me I’m going to make some lucky family very, very happy.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m a professional lizard and toad hunter — seriously, I take my job very seriously. If it hops, scurries, or wiggles, I’m on the case. I’ve always got my nose to the ground, sniffing out all the best smells and searching for my next adventure.

I’m not the biggest fan of being alone, but I do just fine in my crate, especially if I know you’re coming back soon. I’m a sweet, curious girl who just wants to be part of the action and part of a family.

Hi. I’m Ember. I’m sweet, well-mannered, and I’ve been told I’m the best foster ever (I’m not saying I agree… but I agree). I’m super into my people, excellent at cuddling, and I come with just the right amount of diva energy.

I’m almost ready to go home with my forever family! I have a procedure and my spay coming up soon, and once I’m healed, I’ll be ready to start my next chapter. I promise: I’m worth the wait.

Ember’s “best friend” highlights:

  • I already know sit, down, and paw (and I’m always accepting applause and treats for my hard work).
  • I do well meeting other dogs, but I can be a little unaware of my size—so I’d do best with dog siblings 40+ lbs. who can match my energy.
  • Heat? No thank you. I’m an indoor, air-conditioning kind of queen who loves a cool floor and a calm vibe.
  • Sleeping arrangements: I prefer to sleep in bed with my humans. If you’re a “dogs on the bed” household, we are going to be very happy together.
  • I’m affectionate, people-focused, and basically a professional snuggle buddy.
