Pssst… hi. It’s Elvie again. I borrowed the phone (I’m getting good at this) because I have so much to tell you. I’ve been working really hard in my foster home, and guess what?
I’m AMAZING. (That’s not bragging — Foster Mom said it first.)
I’m a total people‑pleaser, I love learning, and I’m super easy to train. I’m still not convinced that “sit” is worth my time, but I’ll do it… eventually… if snacks are involved. Snacks help everything.
🚗 Car rides? Love them.
🌳 Outdoors? Love that too.
🎓 Learning new things? I’m basically a genius.
Now, I do have some feelings about men. Sometimes when I meet a new guy, I get nervous and growl a little. It’s not aggression — it’s communication. I’m saying, “Sir, I need a minute.” Give me slow introductions, space, and positive vibes, and I’ll warm right up. But if something scares me, it can set me back, so patience is key.
I’m also working on sharing my food space with other dogs. I’ve made HUGE progress, but if another pup gets too close while I’m eating, I might give a little warning snap. I’m learning that I don’t have to worry — my food is safe, and I’m safe too.
Oh, and if you hear me grumbling while I play, don’t panic. That’s just my style. I’m a little mouthy, but I use zero pressure. It’s all silly talk.
I’m sweet. I’m silly. I’m smart. I’m sensitive. I’m trying SO hard. And I’m an absolute joy — Foster Mom literally said, “She’s amazing!!! I love her.”
I’m looking for someone who will help me keep building confidence, celebrate my progress, and let me show them just how wonderful I really am.

Hi future family! It’s Elvie, and I may have borrowed MM’s phone (that’s what I call my foster mom — M&M, like the candy… I made it up myself). I have lots to tell you.
First of all: Did y’all know how comfy couches and beds are?! Because WOW. I found out, and now I can’t get enough of them. I’m basically a professional lounger.
When I first got here, I wasn’t sure what to make of MM or her two boy dogs (ugh… boys). I was scared of everything — even the TV. But after lots of sleep, food, and gentle encouragement, I decided this place is actually pretty great.
Hold on. BRB. SQUIRREL.
… Almost got it. Maybe next time.
Okay, where was I? Oh yeah — I’m not scared anymore! (Well… mostly.) MM takes her time showing me new things, and I’m learning that the world isn’t as scary as I thought.
But I do have questions. Like… why do I have to sit? There are so many fun things happening, and sitting feels like a waste of time. MM says I’m “wicked smaht,” but I told her I’m actually a people pleaser. She also says I have the best underbite, but I don’t bite under OR over, so I don’t know what she’s talking about. Humans are confusing.
She also says my head tilt “melts her heart.” That sounds dangerous, but she smiles when she says it, so maybe it’s fine.
Anyway, the boy dogs want to play now — and guess what? I actually like playing with them… when I decide it’s time. I’ll be in charge by next week.
Oh! Big news: I kept giving MM the saddest look at bedtime, and last night… IT WORKED. I slept in the big bed ALL NIGHT. It was pawsome.
I even dreamt about my future family — maybe with a dog brother to play with, lots of time at home or on adventures, and comfy places to relax. I hope they’re patient with me, because I don’t totally understand human language yet… but I listen really closely, and I learn fast. That’s what everyone says.
Okay, MM is looking for her phone now, so I gotta go.
