Dog’s Name: Mollie

Dog’s Approximate Age: 2.6 years old

Gender: Female

Dog’s Size: Medium (50lbs to 70lbs. as adult and healthy weight)

Dog’s Weight: 54 lbs.

Tail?: Full (long)

Good with small dogs?: Not tested with small dogs.

Good with big dogs?: Good with current resident passive 7 year old male boxer.

Good with cats?: Has not been cat tested.

Good with kids?: Mollie, a young boxer with a long natural tail, can be quite exuberant when greeting her humans, often jumping in the air. We’re working on this behavior, but it’s not ideal for small children. She would be a better fit for older kids, around 13 and up, who can understand how to play with her appropriately, much like adults.

Any medical issues?: None. UTD on all Vaccines as of 4/2/26.

Crate trained?: Don’t know yet.

House trained?: Yes.

Heartworms?: No.

4/4/2026: Mollie’s Forever-Home Bio (from Mollie herself)! 🐾❤

Hi! I’m Mollie—54 pounds of sleek, athletic muscle and sweet-girl energy. I moved in with my foster family on March 20, 2026, and I’ve been busy perfecting my best skills: being affectionate, learning fast, and making sure my people get their steps in.

My “Ideal Home” Wishlist

  • Active humans, please! I’m strong, smart, and I feel my best with daily exercise and ongoing leash training.
  • Early birds win. I naturally wake up around 4–5 a.m. and I love a 1.5–2 mile run/walk in the morning and again in the evening.
  • A tall, fenced yard would make my tail do the happy-thump—extra room to stretch my legs is a big plus.
  • No young kids for me—I’d do best in an adult home (or with older, dog-savvy teens).
  • Absolutely no cats or chickens (in the home/yard, nearby neighbors, or regular visiting/feral cats). I’m not trying to be rude—I’m just being honest about my instincts.

What I’m Like at Home

  • Sweet + affectionate: I’ll gently pop up on my hind legs to give you kisses (I’m polite about it—no body-slamming).
  • Interactive player: Toys? Meh. I’d rather wrestle, romp, and do brainy, stimulating play with my people.
  • Belly-rub enthusiast: Floor time is prime time—especially if it includes me rolling over for a full-service belly rub.
  • Dog social vibes: I live with a calm 7-year-old male Boxer and do well with his mellow energy.
  • Professional snuggler: I love snoozing beside you on the couch, hanging out while you cook, supervising home-office work, waiting patiently while you shower, and cuddling at night.

My Manners & Training Notes

  • House trained: I’ll stand by the door and thump it with my tail when I need to go out.
  • Respectful roommate: I’m non-destructive and I haven’t counter-surfed in my foster home.
  • Crate status: I’m not kennel trained right now and I’m not especially interested in the crate.
  • I know: “Sit.” (And I’m extremely intelligent, so I’m excited to keep learning.)
  • Car rides & vet visits: Big fan of car rides, and I was great at the vet.
  • Mealtime note: I eat fast, so I need a slow-feeder bowl. I also enjoy enrichment like a woof treat ball and snuffle mats.

Sound sensitivity: So far, I haven’t reacted to loud noises, but we haven’t had storms or fireworks yet to fully test that. Separation anxiety: My foster family is currently evaluating whether I show any signs when left alone.

If you’re an active household looking for a loyal, loving shadow who will happily keep you on a healthy routine, I might be your girl. I’ll bring the brains, the brawn, and the best couch cuddles—your job is to bring the leash-training commitment, the exercise, and a cat-free/chicken-free life. Ask to meet Mollie and see if we’re the perfect match!  💕🐕💕🐕🐾❤💕
