5/17/2026: I’m Jesse! 🐾❤
Your handsome, goofy Boxer gentleman-in-training, and I’m officially accepting applications for my forever family. Everywhere I go, people stop to tell me how good-looking I am, and obviously I let them admire me properly with pets and attention. It’s only polite.
My absolute favorite thing in life is my people. I love being with them, keeping an eye on them, and making sure I never miss anything important. Foster mom says I’m a smart little man and that I know lots of things already: sit, wait, leave it, down, off, no, yes, and sometimes even come. Personally, I like to think of myself as highly educated. Foster mom says we’re still polishing my manners, though—apparently I’m supposed to wait at doors instead of charging through like a bull in a china shop. I don’t know what that means, but I am trying very hard to understand this “self-control” business.
I’m also working on a few other advanced skills, like not jumping on people, not trying to sit on them like I’m lap-dog sized, and keeping my welcome-home celebrations to a reasonable level. Right now, when someone comes home, I may express my joy with zoomies, wiggles, and a full Boxer dance performance. It is a very impressive show. I’m also learning to wait politely while my food bowl is put down instead of assuming every meal is an emergency. Foster mom says all this good behavior will help me go more places, which sounds excellent to me.
Speaking of places—I love car rides. If I see an open car door, I assume it is for me. Occasionally it turns out to be someone else’s car, which foster mom finds hilarious. I also enjoy going out on the town for shopping trips and patio dinners. At restaurants, I’m basically the perfect date: I settle down, stay out of the way, quietly observe the scene, and only keep a respectful eye out for any dropped bites of deliciousness. In stores, I’m happy to follow my person and mind my business. I don’t bother the displays, and I don’t cause a fuss.
I’m also proud to report that I am a potty-trained professional. In a brand-new home, I went an entire week without a single accident and saved all my marking for the trees outside—got to keep the neighborhood informed, of course. I love kids, especially the ones who want to run, play, and tussle a little. I should mention that I’m a big boy and sometimes don’t realize my own strength, so I may be a bit much for very little humans. I never mean any harm—I’m just an enthusiastic guy who is still learning the finer points of manners.
Foster mom says I’m getting fixed this week, even though I keep telling her I’m not broken. After that, she says there will be even more adventures in my future, like meeting new people and, hopefully, making some dog friends too. I do have one area I’m still working on: I can have some separation anxiety, because being with my people is my favorite thing in the world. Foster mom believes that with more experience, structure, and confidence-building, I’ll keep making great progress. So if you’re looking for a loyal, hilarious, handsome sidekick who loves attention, outings, and being part of the family, I just might be your guy. Love, Jesse. 💕🐕🐾❤💕
