$400.00

Dog’s Name: Petunia

Dog’s Approximate Age: 3 Years old

Gender: Female

Dog’s Size: Medium (50lbs to 70lbs. as adult and healthy weight)

Dog’s Weight: 58 pounds

Tail: Docked (Short)

Good with small dogs?: I’m not fully tested with small dogs and might seem a bit overwhelming because I get so excited to meet every dog I see!

Good with big dogs?:  I’ve played with two larger dogs and had a blast. I’m super eager to meet all dogs, and I do well with slower introductions. Since I get so excited to hang out, I’m still learning to read other dogs’ social cues. Sometimes my enthusiasm makes it seem like I’m being mean, but I’m absolutely not. I also love cuddling and playing with my foster brother—he’s the best, and we have so much fun together.

Good with cats?: Has not been cat tested.

Good with kids?: Kids? Yes! Where are they? Can I sit with them and give them a kiss?

Any medical issues?: I’m in the final stages of my heartworm treatment, and I’ll be finished soon! Aside from that, I’m feeling great and healthy.

Crate trained?: Yes.

House trained?: Yes.

Heartworms?: Yes.

5/5/2026:  Meet Petunia (a.k.a. Your New Best Friend)

Ok—first things first. I’m basically the sweetest, nicest girl you’ve ever met. Go ahead. Check my references. I’ll wait…

Oh, you’re back? YAY! I’m so glad—because I love you already. I’ve never met a stranger (young, old, tall, tiny—doesn’t matter). Everyone is my friend, and I don’t hesitate to show it. I’m a professional greeter, enthusiastic nuzzler, and full-time “Hi, can we be besties?” specialist.

At home, I’ve got some excellent credentials: I’m house trained and crate trained. I’m also still polishing my leash-walking skills (I’m trying, I promise—there are just so many important smells!). One of my favorite hobbies is trampoline time with the kids. Sometimes I play, and sometimes I climb up there and stretch out in the sun for a nice little nap, because self-care is important.

Now, about my dream living situation: my first requirement is LOVE (and lots of it). My second is… more love. After that, having a dog brother or sister to play with and cuddle with would be absolutely perfect—because I am a gold-medal level cuddler and I take my snuggle responsibilities very seriously.

Confession time: I’m extremely motivated by food. All food. All the time. Don’t worry—I’m not rude about it. I don’t growl when people come near my bowl, and I’m happy to share treats with my foster brother. I’m just… let’s call it opportunistic. If it’s edible and available, I feel spiritually obligated to investigate it. That’s normal, right?

One last tiny rumor: my foster family says I snore. I personally think they’re making things up—because I’m a lady. (But if I do, I consider it free white noise included with adoption.)

Petunia at a glance:

  • Never met a stranger—friendly with everyone
  • House trained and crate trained
  • Leash walking: improving every day (sniff breaks are important!)
  • Loves kids and trampoline sunbathing/naps
  • Would love a dog sibling for playtime + cuddles
  • Food-motivated, but not possessive

If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate sidekick who will love you like you hung the moon, I’m your girl. Come meet me—Petunia is ready for her forever home.  🐾💕
